What is the Marion County Genealogical Club?

The Marion County Genealogical Club maintains the genealogical reference department in the Marion County Public Library. Through the sale of publications, the club has been able to purchase many publications from the state of West Virginia and surrounding states. This includes census records and vital statistics including births, deaths, marriages, and cemetery records. Our shelves also contain county histories, general genealogical information and material from surrounding states. There are also many volumes of family histories which have been donated.
